Under the band name Broom Bezzums, Andrew Cadie and Mark Bloomer have been among the most successful folk singer / songwriters in Germany and the UK for many years. They received awards such as the German Rock and Pop Prize in 2010, took 2nd place as „Best Folk Rock Band“, then in 2008 the German Rock and Pop Prize and took 3rd place in 2016 as „Best Folk Rock Band“ the German Record Critics‘ Prize Folk and Singer / Songwriter; World music. Their song „Keep Hauling“ was the title song of the film “Fishermen’s Friends“ which was shown in cinemas in 2019. In 2020 the two thoroughbred musicians decided together with their management to dedicate their musical talent to new songs.

This also led to the new band name, Bloomer & Cadie, using the musicians’ surnames. Andrew and Mark have been working on fresh material for a year and more than 30 new numbers have been created. But good music takes time.

In the meantime a line-up has been formed and the production process is underway. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, everything is progressing a little slower and not without difficulties. But Bloomer & Cadie are looking forward to „the time after Corona“, and in particular the stage. They both sorely miss their audience.

The first song, entitled “Love“, has been released and demonstrates how soulful the two of them can be. The song exemplifies this unprecedented and exceptional situation. Worldwide, a virus has thrown our life out of balance, so Andrew and Mark hope to give hope with their music. Bloomer & Cadie are themselves affected. Corona has also changed their lives. Their songs reveal changing feelings, but also show that all of our lives must go on and that confidence is more necessary than ever.
